MERSIN UNIVERSITY
INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS AND PROJECT COORDINATION OFFICE
The International Relations and Project Coordination Office of Mersin University is the unit responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient implementation of national and international projects, collaborations, and external relations activities aimed at social benefit and local development within Mersin University.
Within the scope of restructuring efforts, in accordance with the official letter dated 27.12.2019 of the Mersin University Department of Personnel Affairs and the relevant decision taken, the International Relations Coordination Office was merged with the Projects and Research Coordination Office of Mersin University. In this context, the duties and responsibilities of the Office were expanded and redefined to include not only the management and development of international relations and the implementation of exchange programs, but also the dissemination of project culture in the fields of social benefit and local development, and enabling academic staff to benefit more effectively from national and international funding sources.
Accordingly, the unit continues its activities under the name “Mersin University International Relations and Project Coordination Office,” operating under the Rectorate of Mersin University. With its new structure, the Office aims to enhance the University’s visibility at both national and international levels, strengthen project-based cooperation among academic and administrative units, and coordinate projects carried out within the framework of various international programs—particularly those of the European Union—focusing on social benefit and local development.
