Mersin University Maritime Vocational School has started its educational activity in 24th April 2007 in the name of Marine and  Merchant Vocational School. Its name changed  as  Maritime Vocational School in 04 March 2010. It was initiated to take student with the central  placement in 2009-2010 academic year. Maritime Vocational School carries on its educational activities at the building in Tece Campus since 2009.

There are 3 educational programmes at Maritime Vocational School;  Maritime Transportation and Management, Maritime Management and Operations and Ship Machinery Management. One year  prep education is implemented in all of the programmes on demand. The students that are placed by Student Selection and Placement Center and who are successful in the interview and physical ability test, gain right to enroll to the programme.
