History

It was founded in 1994 under the name of ‘ Computer Programming’ . It was restructered within the MEB-YOK project and was renamed as ‘Computer Technologies and Programming’ from The Academic Year of 2003-2004. Name of the programme has been changed as ‘ Computer Programming’ again with the decision of YOK(Council of Higher Education) since Academic Year of 2009-2010.

Qualification Awarded

Students who completed the programme successfully are given Associate’s Degree of Computer Programming.

Specific Admission Requierements

Graduates of Computer Software, Computer Hardware, Computer Operator, Computer Operator Technician , Information Technologies and Computer from Vocational and Technical Secondary Programmes are placed according to their Secondary Education Degree without examination. Besides; graduates of other secondary education programmes who obtain the required grade from National University Entrance and Placement Exam (ÖSS) will be accepted to the programme.

Profile of The Programme

It aims to train staff members who are able to take part on plan and design of software , comprehend software, installation and testing processes, diagnose and maintain common software and hardware failures , think analytically.
